Rocio is a dual Spanish and UK qualified lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in data protection, information, privacy, data management and e-commerce laws.
Recently appointed to the expert panels that will support the Council of Europe Data Protection Unit and the European Data Protection Board, she will contribute to the identification and analysis of emerging threats to individuals’ personal data, discuss the effective implementation of Convention 108, amongst other matters.
She is a partner at a UK law firm and an avid speaker and writer.
Her expertise includes leading multi-jurisdictional data protection compliance projects as well as delivering trainings on topics such as data protection obligations applied to anonymisation techniques, blockchain and the use or development of AI tools.
